Children are important to Jesus: he demonstrated the way God loves, trusts, and values children and how we can learn from them.

In Spring Kids we want to love children, to nurture their faith and relationship with God in a friendly and safe environment. We offer a lightly structured and inclusive space, where children spend time getting to know God and each other.

We support parents and believe that most faith learning happens in the home. Our role is to reinforce the teaching and discipling that parents are doing in the home.

We use age-appropriate interactive teaching strategies, games, singing, acting, and multimedia to reinforce our learning from God’s Word. We love stories, listening and sharing together.

Class groups

Spring Chickens: 2-4 years

  • The first 5 years of life are full of learning and play. We place a lot of value on the teaching that happens gently and lovingly in these early years. Here the children learn that church is a safe, fun place where they learn about God’s love, about Jesus their friend and find their place in God’s family, the church. This is where the foundations of the faith are laid. We love these little ones!

Spring Tide: Kinder to Year 6

  • As their understanding grows, we begin to use more active learning. We teach Bible stories that engage children, pray and encourage reflection and questions in sharing times. This group loves to be active, enjoying team games and outdoor activities while building relationships.

Loft Group: Year 6 to 9

  • This group aims to help teens and tweens ask big questions and grow in their faith, giving them a faithful group of older peers and leaders to talk to. There is a lot of research indicating this age-group need positive peer groups and role-models. This group meets in the loft and have snacks and great discussions.

We have a thriving and growing Children’s Ministry. If you feel called to be a part of our leadership team, we would love to talk to you about the steps involved in becoming a leader.
