A reminder that no services will be held this Sunday, and that instead we are looking forward to gathering together as one church family this coming Sunday 25th November from 11am-2pm at Dru Point, Bicentennial Park in Margate for our Big Day Out. We hope you are looking forward to it too!
A message from our Senior Pastor Rob Imberger about its purpose:
“The bible calls the church a “family”, so as brothers and sisters in Christ, we want to spend time building trust, having fun, and sharing how Jesus’ good news transforms our lives. This can happen during a Sunday church service, but rarely do the four congregations that make up Wellspring Church get together in one place at one time. Sometimes we need to create different opportunities for this, and our Big Day Out is one such opportunity. We are very different people united by the one same Saviour. I invite you to join this celebration.”
We thought you might like a brief outline of the day:
11am-12noon arrive/setup/get to know you game
11:30am Christmas play rehearsal for 2-4yr olds
12noon-1pm Shared lunch (please bring something to share)
1pm-2pm scavenger hunt/wide area games & pack up
Our central meeting place will be shelter #4 which includes BBQs.
BYO picnic rug/chair, bikes/helmets, and ball games (eg for a game of cricket/soccer).
Tasmania’s Spring makes planning outdoor events risky, however, we are planning to go ahead with Plan A at Dru Point at this stage. If the weather proves too wet on the day we will notify and redirect people back to Wellspring (Plan B).
**Please be aware that children will be the responsibility of their parents for the whole time together.**
