25 April Theological Intensive: Essential Marks of Christian Leadership

How will you spend your Anzac Day public holiday this year? Have you thought about using the time to learn the Bible in a deeper way than usual?

Wellspring’s Theology Intensive is back for another year!

Rev David Rogers-Smith, a former lecturer at Sydney Missionary & Bible College, will be leading workshops on 2 Timothy: The Essential Marks of Christian Leadership.

He will be teaching at a 1st-Year Bible College level. David has the ability to explain things in a crystal clear and simple way.

So, this Theology Intensive is ideal for future leaders and current leaders; youth group leaders; parish councillors; team leaders; Growth Group leaders; mums and dads; the young and young at heart; 8am’ers, 10am’ers and Resonaters; and anyone who wants to know how God calls us to lead and grow churches; or what sort of leaders and ministry we all ought to commit ourselves to.

Lunch will be provided. It’s all free. You just need your brain and your Bible.

Please register here (for catering purposes).

A little more about the topic…

The Apostle Paul blazed the trail with the Christian gospel around the Roman Empire. Before his execution, Paul handed the torch to his young ministry apprentice, Timothy. In his last letter, 2 Timothy, Paul provides six essential marks of Christian leadership. They’re not for the fainthearted, and neither is Christian leadership. This workshop will explore these marks and help place our leadership on the right foundation. It will be suitable for those engaged in any form of church leadership (from a small group to parish council, to a large ministry), those who might be leaders one day, and for church members to know what they should expect from leaders.

A little more about our guest speaker…

Rev David Rogers-Smith was a self-absorbed, morally compromised, God-avoiding sinner whom God was pleased to call and save 39 years ago. David’s been bumbling along in Christian leadership for the last 37 years, with Bible Society NSW, Bush Church Aid, Sydney Missionary & Bible College, and in ordained Anglican ministry. David and his wife, Julie, have served in rural, regional, and urban Australia. They have two adult children, one in NWTAS, the other in Brisbane. David’s loves are Jesus, Julie, the Bible, their children and family, God’s family, preaching and teaching the Bible, his Rhodesian Ridgeback, the beach, and riding his Yamaha V-Star 650 cruiser. He currently serves as the pastor-teacher for Bridge of Hope Anglican Church, Port Sorell/Latrobe NWTAS.

We’d love to see you there!
