A team of hard working staff and other leaders work together to see God’s mission fulfilled at Wellspring. You can find out more about them here.
Rob was saved by grace as a little one and grew up in south-eastern Melbourne. From teenager years, Rob knew God wanted him to be a pastor. Soon after finishing secondary school, Rob undertook a BTh and AdvDipMin at Ridley College, Melbourne, where he was blessed to meet and marry his beautiful wife Camille, the year before ordination and graduation in 2007.
For a few years, Rob then served as Assistant Curate at St. John’s Diamond Creek, before moving to join the team at South East Bendigo Anglican Parish until 2014. Whilst in Bendigo, Rob and Camille thanked God for the arrival of their three awesome children (and now a fourth, their own little Tasmanian!). The Imbergers are loving their new adventure, and they feel confident of the Lord’s sovereign leading to Wellspring Church and community. Rob commenced his role as Senior Pastor in late 2014, and continues to enjoy leading Jesus’ church here.
For fun, the Imbergers variously enjoy singing, dancing, coffee, reading and the Collingwood Football Club.
Michael is the Chinese Pastor of Wellspring. He is married to Linda with three children: Georgia, Gina and Jack. The family migrated to Melbourne from Hong Kong in 2003. Michael completed his undergraduate degree with the China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing and later a Master’s degree in Chinese Law from the City University in Hong Kong. He also recently completed the Australian College of Theology’s Bachelor of Ministry through the Melbourne School of Theology’s Chinese Department. Michael was elected Chairman of the Board of Chinese Ministries at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Doncaster, Melbourne.
After graduation from MST he worked for 18 months as an Assistant Pastor at Melbourne Chinese Bible Church. Michasel is passionate to study God’s Word and to reach out to unreached people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ; he is especially burdened to evangelise those from different Chinese backgrounds. In his spare time, Michael enjoys family life, fishing, camping, sightseeing, photography and exploring the natural wonders of God’s creation.
Mary moved to Tasmania in 2006 and loves Hobart madly. She loves the beaches and the coffee and her beloved West Hobart neighbourhood. She especially loves going on drives with her family, playing board games, watching old movies, and sharing life with friends. She was married in 2000 to Mark, the junior school chaplain at The Hutchins School.
God has blessed them with four gorgeous active children, Patrick (2004), Amelia (2006), Harriet (2008) and Eloisa (2011). Mary has been involved in Christian children’s ministry since she was a teenager, albeit with a long break during the years when the Holland kids were smallish. She became a Christian as a child and enjoys helping kids to understand, express, and live out their faith in Christ and helping them to know and understand God’s word better.
Mary is studying for her Master of Teaching degree at UTAS part-time, loves leading with her family on Anglican summer camps and being respite foster carers. She loves Wellspring Anglican and is thrilled to be the children’s minister here.
Youth Development Officer (South) for Anglican Diocese
James grew up in a Christian home, so there was never a time he can remember that he didn’t trust in Jesus’ death and resurrection. From 2009-2013 he was the Youth Minister at St Mark’s Bellerive. Since 2014 he has been the Director of Children’s and Youth ministry for the Anglican Church of Tasmania. From January 2017, he looks forward to be joining Wellspring as our new Youth Pastor (half-time), as well as transitioning to a new oversight role as Youth Ministry Development Officer (Southern region) for the wider Diocese (half-time).
James is married to Anita, and they have 3 young children. He is passionate about making disciples of children, youth and families, coaching his son’s soccer team, playing 6 a side soccer, coffee with mates and holidays on Bruny Island with the family.
Honorary Assistant (with his wife Pamela Fehre)
Charles studied for ministry at Ridley College and was ordained in 1960. He has served in various parishes across the Diocese of Tasmania and in 2003 brought his wealth of experience as a pastor to Wellspring in his role as an Honourary Assistant.
Throughout his life and ministry Charles’s passion has always been, and remains, for young people to grow in their knowledge and love of God and fulfill God’s plan and purpose for them. When he’s not too busy, Charles also enjoys woodworking and gardening.
Lara has grown up in Hobart and feels grateful to God to not remember a time when she didn’t believe in Him. She met her husband Andy in Launceston and they were married in 2010. In 2016, they welcomed their firstborn son, David, into their lives. In the past, Lara has studied Science at UTAS and worked for a Tasmanian fruit export company. She enjoys cups of tea, playing music with her community band and cooking for friends.
Lara can help you with any questions you might have around the day to day activities of the church and its various ministries.
Amy grew up in Tasmania and has recently returned here after living in Sydney. Amy struggled to find a place to fit in growing up until she realised that security was found in a person, Jesus, rather than a place or organisation.
Amy is a wife to Andrew and mum to Harriet (4) and Henry (2). Andrew works with the University Fellowship of Christians at the Hobart campus and they are both passionate about endeavoring to serving Christ with all of their life.
After 9 years at a high paced accounting firm, Amy has joined our team for a change of pace and priorities and a chance to get amongst a ministry workplace.
Amy handles our finances and can help with any finance questions you might have in conjunction with our treasurer.
Youth Ministry Intern
Josephine moved to Tasmania when she was 7, went to school in Hobart and is currently studying a Diploma of Ministry at Ridley College via distance. She has been involved with the children’s ministry at Wellspring since she was a teenager and with the youth ministry since 2011. Since then Josephine has grown a passion to help these teenagers grow their spiritual relationship with God and welcome others into His kingdom.
Josephine loves having chats over cups of coffee, baking all sorts of yummy treats, watching movies with friends and spending Christmas with her incredibly large and loud extended family. She can’t wait for the summer to start so she can spend a week away in the bush with other crazy leaders and teenagers on camp!
